I'm from Winston-Salem. I went to Mt. Tabor High School and Wake Forest
University. I worked for several years at the Winston-Salem Journal and I'm a
founding member of several local bands, including the Plaids and the Vagabond
Saints' Society. I married my wife Jennifer in 2005. We were joined by Quentin
in 2009 and Gabriella Rhyse on my birthday, July 10, 2014!
I went to South Carolina Law School on Scholarship. That's where I found
my passion for litigation and fighting for the underdog. I'm licensed in both
North and South Carolina and I've been admitted to practice in the United
States Federal Court in the District of South Carolina. I've handled and
assisted in a variety civil and criminal cases including contract disputes,
personal injury, product liability, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith,
divorce, criminal domestic violence, bank fraud, DUIs, drug charges and
felonies. I never stopped being from Winston-Salem, so in 2013 I moved home
to serve my community.
I fight for real people. Both the Corporations and the Government of North Carolina are big and powerful. They have armies of law-enforcement officers, chemical analysts, experts, and lawyers at their disposal. If you have been injured or accused of a crime, you need someone with the experience and passion to protect your rights in a Court of Law, because the Insurance Companies and the Government won't always respect them.
